A Wellington school girl who started a coding class to encourage other girls to break down stereotypes, got a roaring applause at the Women of Influence Forum on Thursday.
Jaskiran Kaur Rahi, the youngest audience member in a room brimming with the country’s most influential female leaders, was recognised as a future woman of influence at the forum.
Kaur Rahi won the Sir Peter Blake Trust leadership award for her school, in the year five to year eight category earlier this year.
And a few months ago, Kaur Rahi won an award at the Next Tech Girl for her app Evac-u-buddy which enables users to find or provide shelter during an emergency.
